Buddhm — Enlightenment for all

BUDDHM

We live in a world with constant struggle and confusion. Often we fail to see whats in front of us and count our blessing. Constantly bombarded with noise that drives depression and being unhappy. Searching for meaning, we feel a sense of lack of purpose.

The easiest solution we get from the so called experts is: “You should meditate”. But meditation is a lonely journey and hard for the questioning minds. Finding silence when you are in chaos is much easier said than done. So Buddhm questions if the way of meditation is stuck in the times of Buddha? if the world has changed, shouldn’t the way to inner peace and happiness? Shouldn’t we relook at the way of achieving enlightenment? Shouldn’t there be a better way to fight the demon of Purpose?

Buddhm is a project to find a better path. A way that could be more apt for the 21st century. A journey to enlightenment that takes root in life experiences and finding meaning the journey without worrying about the final destination. Buddhm is not a religion or preaching. It takes inspiration from the goals defined by Buddha, but aims to wake people up and be more alive. To drive appreciation for everything we have been blessed with and come to terms with our desires and aspirations.

To get to a state of peace with the universe, I currently think there are three steps to the journey- external, internal and eternal.

We need to first open our eyes to our surrounding, be present in the moment. Seek experiences that make us happy, but be more mindful of those moments. This is what I call External Buddhm, where we accept our innate desires, yet cut the noise and fully engross all our senses. These small moments build up and make us more aware to our external surroundings and how it makes us feel. There is no timeline or limit, these experiences are essential before we start the journey inwards.

Our acceptance of External experiences makes us more prepared for the next stage — internal Buddhm. Stage where we experience our inner self, come to terms with our demons and understand the true nature of the universe inside us. Yes, you can jump into finding inner peace with meditation, but Inner Buddhm is much easier once we have achieved a level of success and satisfaction with external Buddhm. In this stage we are able to come to terms with our inner reality and how we are connected with the universe.

As we go deeper in our inner journey, we start losing the ego and need for personal gratification. We gain empathy and start experiencing oneness with the universe. Others becomes part of the self, and this has a multiplier affect on the pleasure we attain from our actions. To be able to attain gratification from seeing others happy is a high that takes us a step closer to understanding what it truly means to become enlightened.

Eternal as a journey continues until we lose complete sense of self or the whole universe becomes our self, a blissful state of Buddhm. Yet, to get there, we must start somewhere, and that somewhere is by being kinder to our self and enjoy the moments and experiences we are fortune to have.

Buddhm Project for me is a journey in progress to make life more meaningful and coming to terms with reality. Come join me on the ride as I explore and share my finding on the purpose of life and happiness.
